About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to drive and deliver complex, cross-functional programmes of work across IT, Operations, Sales, and Marketing. This individual will play a key role in coordinating strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and taking the operational load off the executive team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programme and project management, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to work across multiple teams to drive successful outcomes. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or another regulated sector would be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Programme Management: Lead and manage multiple projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and objectives.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a central point of coordination for IT, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with senior stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and external partners, to ensure clear communication and expectations.
- Project Delivery: Oversee project timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful execution.
- Governance & Reporting: Establish and maintain governance frameworks, track project progress, and provide regular updates to the executive team.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and continuous improvement in project delivery.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues to keep projects on track.
- Change Management: Support business change initiatives and ensure smooth adoption across departments.
- Hands-On Contribution: Prepare key project documentation, including change controls, impact assessments, and solution identification reports.
- Regulatory Awareness: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices, particularly within pharmaceuticals or other regulated industries.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project/programme management in a multi-functional business environment.
- Strong understanding of IT, Operations, Sales, and Marketing functions and how they interconnect.
- Experience working with executive stakeholders and influencing senior decision-makers.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, MS Planer).
- Hands-on experience in preparing project documentation, change control processes, and identifying practical solutions.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Industry experience in pharmaceuticals or another regulated sector is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, MSP) are desirable.
