About the role:
The Finance Manager will play a central role within the Financial Reporting team at Healthxchange Group, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting across the Group’s multi‑entity structure. The role supports month end reporting, statutory compliance and contributes to improved financial transparency and insight.
The Finance Manager will manage one direct report, providing coaching, development and guidance to the individual to support their professional growth and career progression.
Working closely with the wider Finance function and business stakeholders, the Finance Manager helps deliver high‑quality reporting, supports audit activities, and drives continuous improvements in processes, systems, and financial governance.

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
Support and coordinate the month end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with group deadlines.
Prepare detailed variance analysis on overheads (Operations, Insurance and Facilities) for inclusion into the monthly Board pack
Produce high‑quality balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust supporting documentation. Review those reconciliations prepared by the direct report.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all accounting ledgers
Prepare and circulate monthly management accounts information
Maintain fixed asset register of the company in regard to capital expenditure, depreciation and disposals
Stock & Inventory Reporting
Lead on month end stock valuation reporting, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Monitor stock movements, provision and obsolescence providing insight into trends and risks
Perform gross profit margin analysis on key suppliers
Cashflow and Forecasting
Support with short-term cash flow forecasts, ensuring visibility of liquidity across the group
Monitor actual cash performance against forecasts and provide variance analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy and cash management processes
Support with the tracking of our FX forward trade
Audit Support
Assist in year end audit delivery and coordinating deliverables. Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
Insurance and Risk Coordination
Coordinate all company insurance policies, ensuring appropriate coverage across the business
Track renewals, claims, and compliance requirements, ensuring timely updates and cost control.
Process Improvements and Systems
Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes and systems
Support implementation of new tools, automation, and best practices
Ensure data integrity across financial systems
Requirements:
Essential
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Strong experience in financial reporting and month-end close processes
Strong balance sheet management
Experience with stock/inventory accounting and valuation methodologies
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems/ERP platforms
